Sometimes he uses Tommy Hannum, when he was in Reno in august he didn't have one. It still was a really good show, he is really a great entertainer. I really liked his show.

Hopefully you will have the opportunity to hear him with Tommy Hannum, (saw him with Ricky Van Shelton a few years back, great player!). His solo project, 'Not Rocket Science' is one of the best steel guitar CD's that I own.

When Darryl first started in 2000, Eddie Gossien, who had played steel with Mel McDaniel in the eighties and Wade Hayes in the nineties was Darryl's steel player, but in 2005, Darryl had taken the steel and fiddle out of the band-steel player Eddie and fiddle player Lee Thomas. I had no idea Tommy Hannum, who had played steel with Ricky Van Shelton worked with Darryl
