Freight Train on Country Gentleman and Lap Steel guitar. I spent many an hour learning to play these sounds inspired by my two favorite guitarists.
Chet left us in June 2001 and Jerry in April 2005. Both had a great impact on my life in music.

Hi Roy
That was beautiful.

I believe Jerry and Chet played together on radio
in the early days. A show called "Two guitars"
Seams very little recordings of the two of them
together.

Regards Jim

JERRY BYRD & CHET ATKINS played together on many singles released by various BIG NAME and unknown artists alike.

Some of my favorite stuff is under the name of the COUNTRY ALL STARS.......on RCA and included Homer and Jethro, Chet Atkins and Dale Potter.

In the early days of Ernie Lee's recording career one can hear numerous Byrd/Atkins collaborations.

Beautiful, Roy! You've really captured that Chet/Jerry sound of the 1950s. When I hear that fingerstyle thumping on the bass strings I want to dig out my old 1950s Chet albums with Bud Isaacs on steel... Some with Jerry too. A classic sound.

Thank you everyone. They may be gone from among us but they left us with their incredible music.
