saw these guys on a morning news show the other day.
the steel player was playing a single fessenden and playing barefooted.
but then that 'big' guy is a little weird also. i've come to kind of like john rich though.
mr. 'big' seemed to be having a real fun happy time. he's changed his outfit now and has blond hair.

Not sure who was playing the Fessenden-I think James Pennebaker worked with them at some point. The fiddle player is a lady who had a record out in '06 called "Ain't What It Used To Be"-she was on Broken Bow Records for awhile. Kenny Alphin wrote a few songs, including one for my friend Danni Leigh called "Beatin' My Head Against The Wall". It's great that Big & Rich use steel. John Rich once played bass with Lonestar

Would it have been Jay Jackson, the barefoot steel player of Jason Aldean fame?

Do you think it influenced his playing?

Went to Belmont.
Maybe I’m the only one here who doesn't have a clue what that means.
The only thing I can think of is the following:
Are you referring to betting at the Belmont Stakes and now he can’t afford shoes
Or he just got out of Belmont Mental hospital. Laughing

Cameron Newby, a young singer from here in OKC that I played steel and guitar for at The Okla. Opry, recently graduated from Belmont. I believe it's a music related school in Nashville.

Belmont is a university in Nashville. Not sure what the importance of that is.

I also like John Rich. Big Kenny sucks big time.
