Hillbilly IDOL Throws a Hank Williams Birthday Bash @ The Music Box Supper Club
On Friday, September 5, The Music Box Supper Club and Northeast Ohio’s own,Hillbilly IDOL, will host a birthday party in honor of the late, great Hank Williams Sr., who would have turned 91 this September.  Hillbilly IDOL has invited guest singers,Alex Bevan, Meredith Rutledge-Borger, and Thor Platter, to join them in a night of Hank-mania. Â
Formed in 1991, Hillbilly IDOL has carried the torch of “Country Music from the Golden Ageâ€. They have recorded three nationally released CD’s of original music (with a few choice covers), and their songs have been heard on All Things Considered, Morning Edition and Car Talk.
HBI has won the Cleveland Scene and Cleveland Free Times music awards numerous times, in the Country, Americana, and Folk categories. “Not everyone grew up listening to the Grand Old Opry on WSM Nashville, our job is to make them wish they had!†says bandleader Paul Kovac.
The dining room is open @ 6:00 and the show begins at 8:00, with free birthday cake & drink specials. This concert is free and open to all ages. Â
