The San Antonio Steel Guitar Association will have its next get together on Sep 7, 2014 at the William Randolph American Legion Post #593 at 326 W. Legion Drive from 2 PM until 5 PM. Rose Sinclair of Austin will be our feature player and will be joined by Jamey Cummins also of Austin. Musicians are asked to be there in time to be setup and tuned up for the 2 o'clock start. The mission of the San Antonio Steel Guitar Association is to provide an opportunity for current and future players to meet, play, listen, and exchange ideas. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free and the Legion's canteen will be open serving your favorite beverage along with burgers and snacks. Questions? Contact Ben Price at 210.255.1816
We will present the autographed guitar which was graciously donated by Gary Smith of Alamo Music. The drawing for the winning ticket will be held Sunday August 31 at the Trading Post in China Grove. You do not need to be present to win. Mark Moseley can provide more info on tickets: 210.516.5038 |

| Mark, we really missed you this weekend. What a ride with the signature guitar. Cannot wait till this Sunday for all to get together and do some picken. It will be so great to have Rose Sinclair as our feature artist. Its been a long hot summer, but come 2:00 that won't matter. Lets boogie. |

This is going to be an amazing event! Rose Sinclair will be the featured performer, and she does a fantastic job!
We also have Itchy and Scratchy, the young girls on guitar. These kids are really good. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
As usual, there's opportunity to enjoy a beverage with a hamburger or other snack served by the friendly Legion staff.
And, we are presenting the guitar autographed by Merle Haggard and other artists to the lucky raffle ticket winner. Also, we will present a check for the proceeds of the raffle ticket sales to a representative of the Warrior Family Support Center.
You have to come out and enjoy this event with us. The American Legion, Post 593 in Converse. See you there!

| Sunday is going to be a great jam session. Rose Sinclair is the featured player and she does put on a great show...I saw Rose in San Antonio at the jam session last year and am definitely a fan. | What a fabulous turn out for our steel guitar jam session last Sunday. Rose Sinclair, our featured guest, and her guitar player, Jamie, were incredible. The back-up band was right on, and we had such a great show. Itchy and Scratchy, our 2 very young guitar players, did a great job on Alley Cat and On Top of Old Spaghetti and won everybody's hearts. To top it off the presentation of the autographed guitar and the donation of the money to the Fort Sam Family Center for the children of wounded warriors was very exciting. A big thank you to all who participated and sold raffle tickets and bought raffle tickets! It would not have been possible without this overwhelming group effort. |
