ARRGGGGHHHH! The one week I'm on vacation...
I saw Albert the last time he was at Jammin' Java -- man, can he still tear it up! (I also caught him on the tour he did with John Jorgenson -- too many notes!)
If you haven't seen him, do not hesitate. With Cindy along, this is gonna be awesome. Sorry I'm going to miss it. _________________ Peter

Albert is playing Guitar Town up at Copper Mnt. CO in August. I wonder if Cindy will be with him then? |

I saw Albert Lee (no Cindy) two weeks ago in Marin County at the Sweetwater.
A fine show it was! I'll tell you what - if Albert were a pitcher, even at age 70, it seems like he has lost little if anything off his fastball.
I complimented him after the show on his fine Roadrunner CD from about eight years ago and how much I enjoyed the tracks on it with Buddy Emmons. Albert said he still communicates with Buddy every so often.
My goodness, what a pair! A lifetime regret for me is not seeing the Everly Brothers when Buddy and Albert were in the band.
At any rate, I was exraordinarily stoked to see Albert Lee in action, first time for me to see him in person since he was in Emmylou's Hot Band in the mid to late '70s. _________________ Mark |

Looks like no Cindy at Copper Mountain. But Chris Hillman and Albert Lee are going to be backed by John Jorgenson's electric band. Desert Rose Band reunion, perhaps? |

I was fortunate to see the Everly Brothers at the Orleans in Vegas many years back, when Albert Lee and Buddy were in the band - that remains one of the very best concerts I've attended....I'd love to see Cindy with Albert's band! _________________ Two Spector 5 string basses, Martin D-18, Taylor 812CE, 1944 Epiphone Zenith, a killer Luttrell 6 string resophonic, 1932 Model 56 Dobro, Beard Model E, Martin Soprano Uke, 10 string 1953 Alkire Eharp, Peavey Nashville 112, Fender Bassman, Fender 75 watt Rumble, and a Fender 100 watt Rumble. |

My wife and I enjoyed Albert Lee and Cindy Cashdollar at the little outdoor festival in Camden NY yesterday. They put on a great show. My favorite parts of the show were when Cindy played her green (Asher?)lap steel. She used a belly pad so she could play it standing up and ripped away at some great solos. I also got to briefly meet both Cindy and Albert and have my pic taken with them.
Hearing and watching Cindy Cashdollar play live was a great music lesson. She played with great restraint, wonderful comping and hot licks.
Anther great band on the bill was The Weight, a group of session pros who all played with the Band. Some of them toured in the post-Robbie Band, and one was a regular in the Midnite Ramble band. These guys do a powerful presentation of the music of The Band. Recommended. Cindy and Albert came out and jammed with them as well. It was a memorable show. Cindy posted some pictures from it on her Facebook page. |

The green guitar is not an Asher. It's her new Jason Dumont Lap King. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

I'll be lucky enough to catch her with sonny landreth in sleepy stoughton, wi this fall. And that show looks like it was a real treat. I've seen her with a few different acts now, and never yet with a console! |

My good friend Davey Schrank and I had a wonderful opportunity to open for Albert Lee and Cindy Cashdollar last night! It was a first on many levels. I never played with Davey, never played a Dobro live and never saw either of these living legends play. Im still recovering from my melted face haha, awesome!!

I was fortunate enough to see them at McCabes in Santa Monica last weekend 7/11/15.
A better venue and a better band would be hard to find.
