Does anyone have a clip or a take on the 8 string double pick up lap steel guitar? Any input would be helpful.

There are a few clips on YouTube.

Are you looking to buy one and wanting an idea of the tonal variety of the two pickups, or is this for some other reason?

Brad,

As I recall, none of the YouTube videos features the new two-pickup Sierra.

As an owner of a Sierra 8 with one pickup (5 position), I have the same question: How does the 2nd pickup affect the tone/timbre?

To me, it seems like the last thing a Sierra would need is a neck position humbucker. But I am no gearhead.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I agree, Bob. It seems like overkill. I always thought that GeorgeLs humbucking pickup in the Sierra-8 was plenty hot, maybe too hot for a lap steel. I don't know why they would need two of them. It sure looks tough though.
