This is a new BMI changer finger and factory spring. Triple raise double lower all-pull. Can anyone help me figure where the stoppers would go and how far the spring needs to stretched from this side view perspective?

My BMI changer locates the stop bars at the very bottom edge of the lower finger and the top one is just slightly above the raise/lower fingers pivot rivet.

Thanks, man. This look about right? Any thoughts on how far to stretch the springs or if I should move either stopper closer or further away from the string?

| The stops look about right to me. The spring has to hold the lowering finger tight to the stop when the string is raised. When you lower, the spring stretches, but has to be tight enough to return the finger to the stop when you release the lowered string. |

Don't make the spring SO strong that it acts as a pivot when you engage a lower, as this will cause an unwanted raise....
I had that problem when I changed a spring. |

To adjust the lower springs when it is in the guitar, you activate a raise pull, on the various fingers that have them,watch the bottom of the finger at the spring. If the lower finger pulls away from the stop, then tighten it until it pulls the finger back against the stop bar, and give it another 1/2 turn for good measure  |

| BMI springs are not adjustable in the true sense, without removing links. A slow process, but worth not rushing. |

| OH and btw what Jason said!! I forgot about the guitars without spring screws, DOH! Like Jason said ,if your axe doesn't have adjustable springs then your left with clipping links. Less elegant and a pita but it works |
