Hi, I try to get a simple but working U8 tuning, I want to keep my C13 non pedal stuff but add some classic country pedal stuff too.
Please tell me what you think:

I like it. Looks quite good _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

I played F9/C6 uni for a while. The open strings are very useful. But the high A to B flat is just too high. The string is thin, it sounds thin, and it broke a lot just as you would expect.
You have an 8 string. Is it a Fender with a shorter scale? If so, the high B flat should be OK. |

Yes is a short scale Fender, 23" I think, that why I can have the high A, I guess a E9/B6 would sound better but I prefer to have the open strings Im use to and be able to not have to adjust when Im using my non pedal Clinesmith C13 8 strings. |
