I thought all the EMCI's came with the welded frame. This appears to be an earlier Waco model MCI with a new sticker?

Sorry this is a later model MCI just forgot enter that info . came with the EMCI badge when I bought it. Sounds and plays super. She is a lot less subject to detuning when the room temp changes than the welded frame EMCI guitar I have had in the pass. Played and owned a lot of both MCI and EMCI guitars from 1980-1990. kept a red MCI for the longest time. Sold it to buy a Pedalmaster from Roy Thomas in 95.

Don't let the welded frame issue influence your decision. I have owned both and there is not a whit of differenve to my thinking. MCI guitars are one of the best ever produced . Buddy used a MCI on many of the Stage One Production CD's. Listen to this..
