That's the strangest looking Sho-Bud copy I've seen yet. Definitely not even a vintage whatever-it-is. He might be able to sell it to some unsuspecting person in the UK but not likely in the States. Some of us may have been born at night, but we weren't born last night!

it's... interesting... more of a ZB style thingy, a Zho-Bud! Laughing A Faux-Zho-Bud. The seller must think "Sho-Bud" and "pedal steel" mean the same thing, like "Hoover" or "Kleenex"

If the price was right it'd be interesting to tinker with it.
( if tinkering interest you.. )

But at that price, Nawwwwww....

Sad

It's interesting: this guy is a matter of about 12 miles down the road from me. I've a mind to go over and take a look, just to rag him a little over it.

looks like a solid guitar if you want a pull/release changer.

The guy says "I don't know much about guitars" - accept that - but "this one ... has been tested and sounds and works well" - so who knew enough to play it but not to set him straight? Embarrassing for UK steelers!

Of all the guitars I've ever seen, that's certainly one of them. You don't often see pettier wood than that! Winking

Now that is a Duke's mixture if you ask me. It has Sho-Bud perm cross rods and a Sho-Bud fret board but looks like the rest is homemade. The changer and keyhead look close to ZB and the pedals look sorta like a Carter Starter, hummmmm!!
