Dear Group:
I've got a GFI Ultra SD-10. I use a Peterson Stroboflip tuner. I've tried all of the presets (sweetened, tempered, equal, etc.), and while they sound great while playing alone, I haven't found one to fit when playing in a band setting with guitar and keyboard.
Has anyone found a preset for the Stroboflip that works for them in a band setting, or come up with a tuning tweak that helps them? Any help is appreciated.

Try using the standard ET. Or my hint of a compromise: Set your tuner to ET, tune almost every note straight up, except G#, F, C# and D# you point the needle to 4 cents flat.
It won't sound as good on its own, but it will fit in.

I use the Newman programs at 442.5Hz on my wife's GFI S-10 Expo and it works fine - alone or with a band.
I also use this on my D-10 Franklin. When I first tried it with my Franklin, I didn't like it and it sounded bad. I went back to my customized Newman settings at 440. When I got a new Peterson Strobe-O-Flip, I tried the Newman settings at 442.5 again and they sounded good and I've been using them ever since. Why they sounded bad at first and then OK later ????

I have a GFI Student, and I use Buddy Emmons tuning.

If I assume you're new at this, it's also possible that your bar wanders a bit at home, and you don't notice it as it happens. In which case you don't need to adjust the tuner, but practice.

Chris,
Another option, to add to the selection is to use Sid Hudsons offsets, available from Peterson, and then flat your c#s just a teentsy. Works for me in my band.
