Thanks to Dan Rollans at steelers choice for building me a new custom seat.
I ordered my seat on Wednesday evening week before last and the following Monday it was delivered to my house. Great Quality and customer service. I highly recommend them.

Looks real nice too, Jeremy! Dan built mine a year ago or so, smartest investment I've made for playing the steel.

Thanks fellows, It always makes me feel good when someone post nice remarks about a seat I built for them. I know Dad is watching over me from up above on every seat I build, so I try my best to continue the way he taught me over 30 years ago.

I'm sure there are several good seat builders and I don't wish to slight any of them but I am a Steelers Choice seat user. I have one on stage at "The Little O' Oprey", one in the car for "travel" gigs, one in my music room which I am sitting on at this moment and my Grandson, Braydon has one. Dan's Dad, Ken who was a wonderful friend of mine built a great seat, the blue one I am now sitting on and Dan is carrying on in like fashion. Beautiful design and very strong and comfortable.
Thanks Dan,
Jerry

I also use a Steeler's Choice seat like the one pictured. Just curious as to what makes your seat "custom"? I can't see it.

Custom doesn't always mean different. Means made for him rather than from stock. Or it could ta slightly different height.

Richard, my seat is 1" under standard height and I really like the black Scottsdale fabric.
It's just nice to have choices.

I recently ordered a new seat from Dan, which was to be sent back to Australia to me with a friend of mine who was in the USA at the time.
Dan went out of his way to co-ordinate the delivery of the seat with my friend and made several phone calls to arrange this.

I couldn't be happier with the service and the product!
I received the seat last week and its shiny and awesome.

Newbie question here:

What's is "standard height" for a seat? I'm trying figure out what height is good for me? (Got an adjustable piano bench in the mean time) is it measured from the floor to the top of the seat pad?

I have a black one myself, but also bought this from Dan a few years ago at the Dallas show, I think it was the first one he did in snakeskin Very Happy I walked past it for three days, before going "oh hell I have to have that" :-} One of these is the best thing you could do for your bum and back.
