I got into a habit of resting part of my palm on the on the lower strings, over the pickup.
After playing a song or two, I notice moisture on the pickup from my hand. (Condensation?) My concern is that the moisture may damage the pickup. (Lawrence reissue 705).
Anyone else rest your hand in that area? What’s your take on the subject?

IMHO, if this were even remotely a problem, by now there would have been much discussion on it.  You see, I also rest my hand on the pickup, and having done so (using the same guitar and pickup for almost 30 years) I've experienced no problem at all. |

There's usually a total seal between magnets and wire. I wouldn't worry about surface moisture. Don't submerge them.

Thanks for the posts.
The moisture is not sweat from my hand.
The moisture is more like condensation.
I’m not sure how the moisture is created. I wanted to make sure my pickup wouldn't be damaged over time.

Its from condensation created by the difference in temp of you and the guitar. I've noticed that on my Shobud the fret board will fog up where my hand is placed.
