A friend up in Washington State recently received a Framus 2000 Pedal Steel as a wedding gift from his wife! He is an accomplished musician, but a novice when it comes to PSG, though he really wants to learn. Anybody have anything to say about them? It looks really nice, attractive and appears well built. I'll post pics later, they are still in my cell phone. Thanks All! Peter, tired after his 1200-mile jaunt back home from Tacoma. Dallas next week!

It's a German boat-anchor. Built like a tank from nice maple and aluminum. Has a kind of fingertip-tuning. It has a nice sound, but very hard to keep in tune.
Stringspacing is more narrow than usual. I had one, did a lot of studiowork on it, but I guess a Carter Starter stays better in tune..... Sad.

Well I finally got home to my home computer, hoping to post the pictures from my phone, but they are .bmp and that format is not supported. Will try again later...

Irfanview is a free download, it will let you convert, resize, and compress pictures.

I may, in fact, be nuts. However, I am screwed onto the right bolt... Jesus!

I have a Framus 8-string non-pedal steel, which is one of my favorites, and a Framus long-necked banjo, but I'll play that fact down. Very Happy
