Captured on a phone so the quality is what it is. Still, I thought some of ya'll might find it interesting what we were doing over in the Jackson Steel Guitar room. I'm trying to find my way to Beale Street in Memphis via the Pedal Steel Guitar!

Hey Zane,

Thanks for playing the blues for me in the Jackson room. Pretty awesome stuff to hear it in person. You're one of the people who are taking the steel to the next level.

I think you need to go up to Toledo, Ohio and get with the sacred steel folks. I'd love to hear you with Lonnie Bennett, Chuck Campbell, and the rest of the gang.

Hope to see again next year in Dallas. I will be sure to bring MY GUITAR this time! Looking forward to another open mike session.

Keep the faith Bro!

Don

Don,

I am friends with Lonnie Bennett. He and I did some playing together in St. Louis a couple of years ago now. I would really love to get to one of those gatherings some day.

It was good seeing you in Dallas. I appreciate your encouragement. I also love that Crabb tune you sang. I produced the original version of that for the Crabb Family. And yes next time we gotta have you a guitar. Whoa! Very Happy

Sounds good Zane. Looking forward to next year already! That weekend goes by too quickly!

By the way, Roy B would have loved this tune!

Don - I would SO HAVE ENJOYED playing with a guy like Roy b.

John B - you can discover some more of my threads here on the Forum or many of my You Tube links. I am a strange bird when it comes to tuning setup. The base of what I use is the Zane Beck tuning. I call it an E 6/9.
