I know, at the first this may seem like it belongs into the "Electronics"-section, however this amp seems to be much related to non-pedal steel guitar:

I have been told by various sources, that Jerry Byrd used a "Volu-tone" (spelling?) amp during his early Rickenbacher years.
I even have a copy of a tape on which Jerry Byrd talks about that amp and I have a photo of that (his) amp too (but the logo doesen't show).
I am constantly screening the web for "volutone" (yes, I've even tried wordings like "valutone" but can't seem to find anything about it.
Can any of you confirm the spelling, who manufactured them or share any stories about this or theses amps?

Thanks! jaydee@bellsouth.net?subject=SG-Forum/Non Pedal/Volutone amp

Is this what you're talking about?
I've only seen this picture, never any of the amplifiers in person. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Yep, Brad.
Jerry Byrd replaced the speaker "screen" with a "JB" logo.
I'll scan it tomorrow or so and post it here... you'll like it.

Here is the picture.
This was given to me by the great Wayne Tanner. It's been taken at the CMHOF in a place called Nashville (where ever that is).
Anyway, it shows Jerry Byrd's B6 and the Volutone amp (Notice the jigsaw job?)

Seems it got tomorrow or so, quicker than it used to...
