| It looks like a Wide 1 1/2" pickup to me...there's no surround or mounting plate. That's what to look for. Beauty! |

It's a wide 1.5" pick-up. 1940-1945. These were the early "white plate" guitars, every thing remained the same as on pre-war models except that the bakelite formula for the neck (at least) had been changed to a more machinable composition for the small white paint filled millings along both sides of each fret and then of course, the change to white plates instead of chrome plated ones.

Boy, I'd love to have that amp. I have a 6 string and a 7 string Rick just like this, and they are awesome sounding. The best harmonic sustain of anything I own, even my '36 frypan.
Unfortunately, one of my Ricks is missing an upper bout white plate. Anybody know of somebody that is hoarding spare parts for these? |
