To anynone who can help: UPS just dropped off a Super Pro that I bought thru Ebay. I'd like to know what year it was made. the Sn# is 13142. It is Loyd Green Green with all white fret markers, Wood necks. Sperzel keys, 8 pedals--6 knees, narrow pedals. There is a mini toggle switch a little forward of the input jack and a small tone control in front of that. I don't know it that is original or not. It appears to be factory but I'm not sure. Other than a few bar dings between the necks it appears new--top to bottom. I've always played an Emmons but I've always wanted a Sho-Bud. Well, I've got one now. It's beautiful and sounds great---if I do say so myself. So, if anyone can eduacate me on this thing I would sure appreciate it. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, Eddie Malray |

Kevin: I don't have any way of posting pictures. Blondie is beautiful guitar. I notice she has the colored fret markers. Mine are all white. The Seller said it was a 77 but I think 87 would be closer. Thanks for your reply. Eddie Malray |

Eddie! I got the first Super-Pro in June 77 this guitar was inroduced at the NAMM convention that year in Chicago when I was with Gretsch as Sho-Bud Product Mgr. It was black w/wood necks & I played it for 16yrs, "Great tone" Ser# 13124 so your guitar is either a late 77 or early 78 Hope this helps! au |
