I just stumbled into this website and thought this would be interesting to a lot of players out there. Haven't had a chance to download and test the software yet, but it's free.
It claims the ability to slow down 400% (a song at 120bps playing back at 30bps). It runs on Windows and Mac(OS9 & 10) computers and will playback from a CD in your computer drive.
Hopefully someone with some time can download it and test drive it for us.
From everything I can see, it's a free download.

So... are we supposed to guess, or what?

I have been using this software for a long time. I made a post about it way back yonder about how cool it was. The best thing about it is you don't have to "record" anything to your hard drive first. It reads directly from the CD. Another cool thing is you can write a file to your drive of any lick, intro, etc. from a CD and have it instantly on hand. I have a little library of snippets on my laptop that I pull up whenever I get to thinking I know how to play...you know, "Humbler"-type stuff
The demo is free, but the full version costs 30.00 or so as well as I remember. Support response is very fast, too.
Oh yeah, Jim. www.ronimusic.com (I think)

My apologies for my smart-aleck response above. This thing is apparently called The Amazing Slow Downer (funny, that was what I called my first wife). I didn't realize it. Sounds good. Anyone know how it compares with Slow Blast?

Guys, I was 'lurking around' when Tommy D. posted some time ago about this program. We bought it and use it frequently here in the studio. This company also has a super 'Beginner's type' midi sequencer called "Sweet Sixteen" It is extremely user friendly and would have to be for this 69 year old dinosaur to use it. BTW if you haven't heard some of Jim Cohen's efforts you're missing the boat. He is awesome and that comes from an old man who's heard a bunch of pickers. Tommy, heard you recently turned detective? LOL Good job fellow.
