| I am an old man. I had fun playing the pedal steel in the 70's. I played in a band in the Minneapolis area for twenty years, the 60's and 70's. I played this old LDG. I want to donate this guitar to the Forum. I just want to know who is Larry Bell? Regards, lws |

Jim Flynn, Thank you for your extremely generous offer. However, I am going to decline it. The Lone Star Steel is a well made and sweet sounding guitar. Your guitars are not mentioned very often on these forums but they should be. The keyless tuners I have are rock solid and easy to adjust. The changer is of the best quality. In testing for causes of cabinet drop I found no deflection in the changer or the nut. The undercarriage is cleanly laid out. The bellcranks are easy to change. I switched over to the Day setup without any problems. I bought it used and really have no problem with it. The cabinet drop is higher than other guitars that have been posted but I suspect that there are a lot of other guitars out there from all of the manufacturers that have as much cabinet drop. I am experimenting with tuning it to account fo the drop just as other people have done. Jeff Newman has published a great set of numbers for tuning most guitars. I have to use a different set of numbers. I think I am getting pretty close. Everyone else has done so over the years and I can too. So thank you again.

Karlos, sounds like a lot of drop for that guitar, If you can return it and Ill fix it.
