Sold on eBay--please close
1974 Martin D-41 with (factory) shaded-top. Sets off the abalone trim beautifully. Big bluegrass whomper, regular-braced (not scalloped) top. Had a neck misfortune (not a full separation; parallel lines from edges of the nut down to about 2nd fret) before my ownership. "Fixed at the best shop in the Bay Area," the former owner said back in '86. Well, I've since had my guy apply some serious industrial epoxy, so it's solid...and not all that noticeable. It's had a re-fret, fingerboard-plane and slight sanding of the bridge to correct the action (a full re-set wasn't called for.) Gold Grovers are replaced--originals were shot when I got this 25 years ago.
A fancy pearl-trimmed D-41 at a -28 price. Recent import hardshell case. I'd a lot rather sell this to someone here on the Forum--will be higher if it has to go to Craig or FeeBay. $2100 + P/p + shipping. _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |
