Has anyone seen a Dobro® like this before?

I think it looks kinda cool, if you don't mind not having a resonator. I wonder how it sounds.

" But square neck or not it makes for an all round great guitar" ?

that could be a bit misleading... this is a Hawaiian Guitar... designed for the Hawaiian sound.

PS.. I'd sure love to hear it... with the built in pick up and all....

Unique to say the least. An arch top perhaps? It'll sound more like a Weisssenborn than a dobro, I'll bet!

A good thing none the less.

Howard's got it. These are made similar to archtops and they use soundpost like a cello or violin. I've never heard one but read an article a while back. Pretty neat lookin'.

Will
you asked about Johnson Dobro copies.
I've got one. Its a round neck with
a great sounding spider. I got it new
here in London very cheap just to learn
on but it sounds so good I'm going to
keep it. I am thinking of getting a
higher nut cut for it though as I only
want to play it with a steel.
