A great vintage of Martin guitars. I have a '52 OOO-21... one that I love and with which I shall never part.

I love the pickguard on this D-18 - very typical of the reddish hue that appeared on Martins between '55 and '57. Doubtless there are exceptions, but this shade was the most common for this vintage.
(I have a '47 000-18 that I wouldn't part with, either, but its pickguard is slightly darker and not quite as pretty as this one  )

My first good guitar was a '56 D-18 that cost me $150 in a DC pawnshop in 1961. Though it was followed over the years by a succession of older, more expensive acoustic guitars, none of them had the power and clarity of my old D-18.
I'd be all over this one if I thought for a minute that I could afford it.
