I'm hoping someone can tell me what it is I really need...all I want to be able to do is to just make some backing tracks for practicing, mainly country/country gospel, so it doesn't have to be too terribly fancy, I don't think...when I go to the BIAB website there's so many add-ons and upgrades I get confused, (I'm easily confused)...anyhow is their 100 buck model all I really need, or do I need a bunch of different add-ons

Sounds like you should just get the basic package to start. You can always upgrade later if you like it and can use it...AND YOU WILL UPGRADE... Laughing

I goofed,I should have also advised you to "definitaly" call PG Music and tell them what you need to do..You might buy something that requires a previous package to use..Don't want that to happen..They are very good at helping with answers...

Buy a copy of the program from eBay. Get an older version for $20 or so. There are plenty of new features in the lastest version but the older ones will let you explore the program. You can always resell your old copy if you decide to spend more money on new stuff.

No Andy, PG Music no longer offers the demo version. They do have a 30 day money back guarantee.

"What should I buy?" seems to be the most popular question from people that are new to BIAB. I always recommend they call PG Music and tell them what kind of music that want to play and what equipment they have to run it on. The guys at PG music are very good and they won't try to up sell you.

Jim Baron is now an authorized dealer for my Band In A Box Made Easy DVD. He just ordered his first shipment. Look for the DVD at his table where he sells his other BIAB products.

Jim sent me a steel guitar instrumental CD that he recorded using a combination of BIAB and real instruments. It was outstanding. A very good CD and very good BIAB tracks. "Misty" and "Colorado" are my favorites, but it's all good. It includes several top notch musicians as well as his own excellent playing. Highly recommended. Smile Smile Smile

I did that Rick and they were very helpful...I also got your DVD, and will receive it before the BIAB, and talked to Jim too.

Buy Rick Campbell's Band in a Box Made Easy along with whatever program you get. It's a great instructional video that'll have you making backing tracks in no time.
