I had the pleasure of seeing Corbin Easton at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park , NJ.
What a tight band! Can anyone tell me the steel players name who is touring with him? What a great
player? I had the pleasure of standing 10 feet away from him the whole show .. It was like a "one on one" clinic. I tried to pay special attention not just to what he was playing but to what he wasn't.
And I never again will question the ttrue potential of a Nashville 112 miked with a Shure 57. This guy sounded fantastic out front.
Again, these guys were great!. They nevers play over the vocals. Only one instrument was playing fills at any given time and when it was time to step up they were out front loud and clear.
I got a free lesson last night. Well not exactly free lol |

I saw them in Denver and they were great. The first Country set in a long time that I can't recall a single "Rock" song. |

I agree.. The funny thing was they were playing at the mostly lengendary rock club on the Jersey Shore. The Stone Pony is "Springsteen Country". It was funny walking around and watching the bartenders and even the guy handing out paper towels in the mens room digging it. It just goes to show you how "pure" music will be appreciated most anywhere when given the chance. |
