It is very easy to record off the main stream from SteelRadio. People who have listened to the radio since its beginning have come up with ways of doing just that.
The hard part is keeping this great music on the air. Almost every artist I have in rotation has put their own money on the line to produce their music in hopes of being able to, not only provide their fans with some music, but also to (hopefully) be able to recoup their investment. Every one who copies their CDs or captures their music from a broadcast of one form or another is pretty much ensuring that this is all they will produce. Why make it available if there are more listeners who will capture it than who will purchase their CD.
I would really think twice about doing this. And for the record...my broadcast is only 24kbps which is a far cry from 128 which is CD quality. Please support our players and purchase their CDs instead of capturing.

Hello Mike,
I totally agree with you. If it's possible to buy the music I do this. Problem is that the kind of music you play on Steel Guitar Radio can be very hard to find and to buy. Especially when you don't live in US.
One idea would be that Steel Guitar Radio might sell the music, like iTunes. I realize that this might be a bit more work than you are able to put in, ...
Thank you for a wonderful station, with lots, lots of great music.
Best Wishes
