They were made in Missouri when I was a teenager living there.
Solid state, heavy as I recall LOUD, they had one model that was supposed to compete with the Fender Twin Reverb, did a decent job as I recall.
I -almost- bought one, but opted for a Kasino Lead Concert instead as it came in two pieces |

Woodson was made in Bolivar, MO. It was good equipment but of course it's pretty old now. Mid eighties is a guess of when they stopped making amps. Seems like there were some posts about Woodson amps a few months ago. |

David,
I have the 2X12 model that was supposed to compete with a Fender Twin.
They are decent amps. If a 1X15 model was in great shape & had a decent speaker in it, I would pay upto $200-$250 for it.
If I lived in Dallas, I would buy this thing...if only I had a reason to go to Dallas. As stated above, they are kind of big & heavy.
They are supposedly cousins to the Kustom/Kasino line of amps. Some were actually made in Oklahoma (Bartlesville I think) and most were made in Bolivar, Missouri. Supposedly, they were tied in with and/or made my Kustom/Kasino. I've been told that the same circuitry & components were used in them.

Hi Casey
Still chasing storms for KAKE TV?
I hope all is well.
I am amp rich right now so I don't need it.
I bought a like new NV 400 and a new Steel King.
Do you want me to pick it up for you.
I can.... but then... you will have to find an excuse to come hear our band so you can pick it up.

Let me know if you want the amp. |

Still working for KWCH-12. The news business has been crazy lately. We had a sheriff's deputy shot and killed yesterday.
I am tempted to have you pick it up...let me thing about that for a bit.
Much like you, I am amp rich. I'm also starting to stear away from big bulky amps. I've been tossing around the idea of selling my Session 400 and Session 500.
I would love to make it down there to see your band, I rarely end up down in Texas which is a shame since ya'll have a lot better country music scene than Kansas does.

I remember playing in a group that had a PA made by this company in the early 70's. Don't remember much about it, only that we played too loud.
