There was a grease fire in the 4th street grill at 3:45 am today at the Millienum. This is in the basement close to the convention area. 400 guest were evacuated with 1 reported injury. Fire Department was dispatched again at 7:45 am for a re-kindle. No other info right now as this is still breaking news.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong section. I also posted it under convention.

I pray that the one injury is minor and that the remaining guests who were evacuated were returned to their rooms without too much inconvenience.

On a lighter side....Maybe the fire was because some of the players left too many of their "hot licks" laying around after the show! Smile

Last news report was some heavy smoke damage in the basment. The injury was due to the smoke aggravating an existing breathing problem.

Nothing Like a fire to bring about a new remodel of the restaurant space and some new paint etc, I saw the report on the news it was a grease fire in a Deep Fryer, Im sure well have it rebuilt in time for the Steel show...but standing outside in todays Hot and Muggy and Rainy weather was probably a real bummer in your PJs
