Vintage Ibanez Artist 5 string banjo,Model 592FBnt (Hearts and Flowers inlay) Produced in June of 1976 making it the the so called "Lawsuit Model" (1978 and on are B series Artist).
The banjo is in good shape considering it,s 33 years old...It has been played!!!...It has had in the past Railroad spikes for the 5th string capo,Replaced with a wire type sliding capo,Replaced with a shorter Shubb 5th string capo...So there are a couple of extra drilled holes on the side of the neck.
There is a little checking in the clear coat on the back of the resonator. The chrome is worn on the arm rest.
I have a replacement clam shell tailpiece as the original has seen better days.
All in all this is still a really nice banjo and plays and sounds great!!!
Comes with a hard shell case.

I think $650.00 + shipping is a fair price for this banjo.
Sorry...No trades on this as I need the cash!!!
Paypal/money order O.K.
Thanks Carl.

I sold these new in my store back then and they are FINE. I've have bought and sold several since - never had a bad one. Somebody could get a good deal here as they usually bring close to $ 1000.

Very Happy I own a 1776 / 1976 Bi Centennial Ibanez model celebrating the 200 years of our independence, Designed by Mike Stanger who was a sign Painter by trade and lived in Idaho Falls. He used to work for Chesbro's music store there. Mike also was working on the Hearts and flowers design when I was there. He was a heck of a player and good guy. I think these banjo's are the closest thing to a Gibson Mastertone you can find, maybe a tad heavier?? I wont part with my Bi Centennial.
