It is with deep regret to report the passing of Steve. He was a friend of Derby steel, Margit Stepp and mine. He also had many friends in ST. Louis and the Steel Guitar Forum. He will be greatly missed.

Crying or Very sad Steve was a close and dear friend. We traveled to and attended many steel conventions together, especially, the T.S.G.A. Jamboree in Dallas. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know Steve personally but I bought a guitar from him a couiple of months ago. He was very friendly and the deal went smoothly and I got the guitar right away. Sorry to hear about his passing. I'm sure he will be missed by his many friends.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I didn't know Steve personally, but met him through a purchase. I knew then he was having health problems, and I have kept in touch with him through phone calls and emails. My thoughts and prayers are with Steve and his family. RIP

This is a very horrible shock, Steve has been a very close friend since 1982, A very talented brilliant man, river boat and barge captian on the Mississippi, along wityh his great love for steel guitar and playing ability. Loved fast cars and anything with big engines.
A wonderful personality, what a loss to all of us in the steel community that knew him.
Steve played a Derby guitar and was a close friend of Charly Stepp and his wonderful wife Margit.
It's a sad world with Steve and Charlie both gone from our little steel world,

I just found this, and it is heart breaking.
I've known Steve for a lot of years, and he was a
great guy and a friend to me and many others.
I've done the videos in the Derby Room for Charlie
for many years, and Steve always enjoyed walking
in front of the camera, just to be on the videos.
He bought things from me, and I still have the Nashville 1000
that he sold me in the Derby Room about 5 years ago.
He went thru an awful lot over the last few years.
I'm going to miss a great guy and another good friend.
Rest in peace Steve, and may God bless you.
