Fresh from its six-month engagement on display at the Museum of Making Music in Majestic Carls-bad Cal-ee-FOR-nee-yah, this aircraft-carrier size bounty of music-making possibilities needs loving and knowledgeable attention. I can only provide the former. Just needs more TLC than I'm talented enough to render.
Electronics don't work (I took the control plate off and didn't see anything obviously bad, but I know NOTH-ing...). Coupla strips of binding missing--one on each end.
Legs and some hardware for attaching legs are gone. Slight delamination going on. No case or legs. Decal defaced by previous owner's toddler. But hey: it's got yer tunings scratched into the finish on the underside:
(Mismatched) speed knobs are recent repros. Although not shown, it DOES have all three bridge covers.
$700+ shipping (eeeeyyyyoooowwww!) +PayPal. Local pickup (Southern California) $600 (cash). Apologies if that seems discriminatory, but I'd rather hand off than ship this thang about a hunnerd-dollahs' worth... _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |

Those tunings that are scratched onto the bottom of that GCG are the same tunings I have on mine!
What are the odds?
I sure hope somebody gets it who knows how to restore it.
There are only a handful of GCG T-8s in existence, and they are fabulous guitars . .
