Topic: C 6 upgrade? |

| I just sold my old double-neck and I'm missing the C6 neck already. I play on a Derby that's got a cushion where some strings could potentially be; I'm wondering if I can reasonably contemplate such an improvement. Do people sell the parts? Is it advisable to try to tackle such a project on your own? What am I looking at in terms of time and money? I do love the Derby, and the veneer becomes a lot more attractive if there are any stairs at the venue... |

CALL Charlie at Derby and ask him he sells them and builds them. Probably ??? would add that for you or might sell you the parts needed to fix it up yourself,,
give him a call... ask and ye shall receive..

Why not sell the single neck and buy another D-10? If you're not a pro at routing out the wood for the changer and assembling all the parts and then setting it all up and adjusting, you may be in for a long hard ride. If so, have at it, but I suspect you'll end up with a million dollar Cadillac. The parts probably cost more than the finished product. Call Charlie.

| What are you going to play while you have your new guitar in rehab? Just buy back your old double neck guitar, or better yet, get another one that you like better. Seems alot easier to me. |

| Fred: you hit the nail with the hammer. In any case it'll probably have to wait 'til after taxes. I guess in the meantime I can try to figure out those three other knee levers I haven't been using. Thanks for the help fellas. |

Making a D~10 PSG, out of an SD–10 is probably not anything anyone with good sense would want to tackle! Before you can add on, you have to take apart, which involves double the time!

The endplate on the changer end would have to be milled out for the other neck.So you'd have to disassembale the guitar to do this.I'd advise maybe trading it in.I think Charlies running some specials right now according to a recent post by Tommy Butler.The Derby is a great guitar.Dana Flood at www.allsteelguitar.com usually has Derbys in stock.
