Beware of used AC "power conditioners" if they have "protected" devices because of an AC power line problem (such as a surge) in most cases the unit really needs replacement as you don't know if it is going to further protect in case of a an AC line power problem.

Basically if an AC power protector has "done it's job" it's time for a new replacement. In many cases the user won't know that it did protect the equipment with, for example a surge.
