So far 2 people contacted me and I acquired two steel guitars that are in need of some TLC(which is not a problem)
A Thompson SD-10(Chris LeDrew) and a Linkon 12string(Daniel Cormier).
Both Chris and Daniel helped 2 children out to fulfill a dream and become a musician.
I received a mail from Eric Philippsen who had a complete LDG under carriage that he donated to fix up these guitars.
Hopefully some of you have one under the bed or up the attic etc.
Please contact me if you have one you don't need or use anymore.
Mail or PM me through the forum or use greensburgsound@hotmail.com to get in touch with me.

thank you all so very much,

Ron

How's the project coming along, Ron? It would be great to see pics of the fixed-up Thompson with its proud new owner!

So do we have any pictures of this young person playing the guitar Chris sent or what. It is always nice to see smiling faces.

Yes, it would be nice to round out all these donations with an update on the project, with details about the new owners and how they're coming along on the steel. It would be encouraging to see these young students with their new guitars, and even get a few words from them about how it feels to be given an instrument. Pics would say it all.

I am glad that I've chosen this project to donate my deceased friend's steel, but it would make me feel better seeing the fruition of the donation. The family of the deceased would appreciate it as well.

As soon as I will get back to teaching I will make some pictures. This is put a little bit on the back burner right now due to Karen's situation.I hope you all understand that. She is pretty sick and that needs all my attention.I hope you all have understanding for that.
I am working goofy shifts right now just to make all the appointments and ends meet.

Ron

P.S

Chris I will call you tomorrow.I still have your phone number I think but just to be sure please send it to me and tell me a good time to call you.It will probably be Saturday because of work.

Seeing that my emails do not seem to be reaching you, I'll post my number here:

(709) 747-0912. I look forward to hearing from you. I'll be around tonight for a while before gigging (8pm your time), and then any time tomorrow evening.
