Took the wife to the doctor today and upon our arrival back home, I observed a large square box on the front porch.
YEPP! It was my brand new 3-speed, record player, cassette tape and CD Player plus AM/FM radio that BURNS MP-3's. No longer any need to hook-up and go thro' the time consuming steps to make copies of old LP's and/or singles.
Just had to share the great news with my world-side friends that enjoy steel guitar, just like I do. |

The wife found it in a mail order catalog called "SOLUTIONS".
After July 1st, it will be for sale retail in Target, Cosco and other such retailers.
You can go on line and find it under "SOLUTIONS".
If you do that, we got a 30% discount.
Good Luck! |

Not too long ago, I saw that you could purchase a record player that had a USB cable that could go straight into a computer.
Old school meets new school.

I have one of those Crosly player/recorders. Between each song on tape or record you have to punch the STOP the RECORD button or the thing will record all to a CD as one song. The quality from a tape is pretty good but the quality from a record is not too hot but it does let you save the material. Let us know how you like the unit. |

I've gotta get me something to record all my old Hawaiian and Boogie Woogie piano 78s. But I think I'm gonna need the restoration software available on my computer to really improve the sound by removing pops and hiss. |

Are you sure there isn't a way to advance the track numbers without stopping and starting? On my stand-alone CD recorder that's hooked into my stereo system, the remote has a "Track Incr." button that lets me do that. Still, having to devote the block of time to listen without forgetting to advance the track number after every track has considerably slowed the process of transferring my vinyl collection to CD. Guess there's no way around it, though. |
