I recently DL this program and it seems I have a hard time getting set up and going ie recording and was wondering if someone(John R?) can give me a jump-start.
My first objective is to record a vocal behind tracks.
-I Import the tracks into AA?
- I put these tracks (stereo) on to track 1?
-How do I assign track 2 to the microphone? Or is this done automatically?
-I 'arm' track 1 and 2?
-I push the record button?
I tried these steps but no response so I am doing something wrong obviously.
Help is greatly appreciated!! |

Bent my friend, select track 2, then click on the R right to where it says M S R, this will arm the track for recording then press the red button on the transport ,thats down at the bottom to the left..
Make sure that you have selected the input and output,
you will see two arrows just below where it says track two.select what sound card you are using, this will have to done for all tracks that you use.don't arm the backing track as this will record over the track. What are using to input the vocals, did you buy the Alesis ?
for recording voice use mono, and read the help files.
if you email me your address I'll send you a DVD on how to use Audition, it really is a powerful program, You will have to wait until I return to the UK as I have now packed most of my belongings in boxes and sealed up. but the help files will get you by meanwhile JR |
