McAfee will stop it as well, but you must update your virus definitions every week. Also keep the scan-engine up to date.

I got it and it said my new email address in the subject place. The sender name was Al. I tried to send it back, but it came back as un deliverable. My Norton 2002 caught it. I have it set up to update automatically and it works great. |

As b0b said in one of the other threads, remove the "_" from the beginning of the email address, then it will go through. |

I got hit last night as well.
My McAfee Virus Scan did not pick it up.
Got my cpu cleaned up today, & installed Norton 2001 Anti-Virus, which was sure working when I re-opened my Outlook Express.
DO NOT OPEN any e-mail with attachments from me received in the past 24 hours.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Al thanks for standing up and being responsible for this. My Hats off to you. Everyone that uses the internet must have a good antivirus program with the latest updates. It is only a inconvience to us that have a good updated program. However it is serious to the folks that try to get by with a outdated virus program. I wish someone could trackdown the virus originator clowns and do some serious harm to them. They are screwing up the planet for the rest of us law abiding folks. Maybe they were cloned from the sheep a while back and have a serious brain function defect. |

I've been using PC-cillin from Trend Micro which automatically updates to the newest signature files as they are produced. Mine has been updating at least once a week and sometimes as often as once a day. So far so good - it caught three offerings of the latest Bad_Trans yesterday on one on my S.O.'s computer today. I'm impressed.
