On Friday, Dec 7, I will once again be playing with the blues-rock band, "The Fickle Pigs." THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BAND I'VE EVER PLAYED WITH, AND PROBABLY THE BEST BAND I EVER WILL PLAY WITH, IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. The musicians, particularly the lead guitarist, are all incredibly strong, and we all blend together exceptionally well.
The steel sounds great in this context. Some of the guys were skeptical about it before they heard what it an do, but now they all love the instrument.
We will be appearing at Topper's Tavern, 1630 Colorado Blvd, in the Eagle Rock section of Los Angeles, between Glendale and Pasadena. Regular bar hours, nine to one.
I hope all you local pickers come down and check the band out. One local player and forumite came last time we played and thoroughly enjoyed himself.
