Don and Sue Christensen have sold the Sierra company to a new local music
company. Tom, who has been Don's right hand man for the last 10 plus years
was appointed the General Manager.
The new owner has been involved in the music business for the past 22 years,
including a time at Fender. Much of his focus has been in product
development and Engineering. I feel that his knowledge, background, and
product ideas will be good for the Steel Guitar industry and in particular
Sierra Steel guitar products.
Thanks for your years of support, and trust that you will continue that to
Tom. I think the changes will be very good for Sierra and the steel guitar
industry.

Don, how could you do this? Will Tom still be at the same location? You will be a great loss to the STEEL GUITAR WORLD! |

My best regards to the Christensens and I hope the surgery was successful for Don. The steel guitar world has been given numerous developments from Don's expertise over the years and he will be missed.
Congratulations to Tom for his selection as manager of the new company. My best to him for continued success.

I second what Bill Stafford has said.
Don and Tom have both helped me with the utmost of professionalism and expertise on numerous occasions. I am deeply grateful to both of them for that.
Don, I can relate to your back surgery as I am recovering from back surgery done in August. I hope that your recovery is as successful as mine has been.
Best wishes to you and Sue. And Congratulations to Tom. I'll be calling Sierra soon, buddy.
Keep on pickin'!

David - - thanks for the info :
Don , I wish you the best in the future and a quick recovery. I too had the dreaded back surgery 3 years ago (before I got my S-10 & wheel ezz case )so know what you are going thru. Hang in there , it gets better.
Tom , I have never met you Sir , but being Don's right hand man , you must be as nice as Don - - Congradulations.

I also will miss seeing Don at the various music get togethers. Let us not forget that Sierra would not have come about without the founding father, steel player, master craftsman and a real sweet man whom I consider a honor to have known and that's David's dad, Chuck Wright. It's been years since my last visit with Chuck but I hold him dear in my heart, so long Don, Gary |
