I'm not as picky as a lot of players (you know, the ones who get out a polishing cloth if there's a smudge on the endplate ). I just throw everything into a plastic box (an old pistol-cleaning kit box, actually. I don't have any problems as I always handle my equipment myself. For those with a need, however, an old pill bottle or plastic (traveling) soap box works great for picks and small parts. The bar can be protected in dandy fashion by a finger cut from an old work glove (or wool glove if you prefer).
Most small scratches you get on the bar can be seen, but not really heard or felt. 'Long as it doesn't affect the sound, I'm good. |

I bought this little bag somewhere for four of five bucks. I put some foam inside to hold 2 bars and a tuning wrench in place. Picks go in the front zipper pocket. I suppose I could make something better looking than the bunjee cord to hang it, but it works.

When I was in the Prison Service we were issued with
a dinky little nylon pouch with resusitation gear in
it which we wore on our utility belts, however, I
managed to get a spare, and do you know what ?,my
bar, picks and allen key fitted in perfect so the
British Government was useful for something !
