I bought a used Sierra artist and am having difficulty tuning the pedals. It tunes great on open string, but when I push the pedals it tunes way too high. I think that where the pedal rods connect to the cabinet there should be a small black cam to stop the pedals going too far down. The levers work fine and they have one of these cams Can someone please help me. I just can't wait to play this baby.

regards
Brian

Brian; You might want to contact the Sierra folks---their web site is listed in bOb's Steel Links on the home page.

I seem to remember the pedals having positive stops when I tried out one of the guitars.

This sounds more like the pull rods are out of adjustment. Have you tried tuning them?
