The Everlys will be part of the KLUV Oldies Radio 6th Annual Oldies Festival this Saturday night, September 9 at Lone Star Park racetrack in Grand Prairie, Texas. Featured artists are The Everly Brothers, Three Dog Night, The Rascals featuring Felix Cavaliere, and Billy Royal. And it's FREE!
Gates open at 4 PM, show begins at 6:45 PM and the Everlys are scheduled to play at 9 PM. Since Three Dog Night goes on at 10:30 PM, I would guess we'll only get an hour of Buddy.
Free Tickets are available at SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up. Once you have your free tickets you can upgrade to box seats and such by calling the racetrack.[This message was edited by Jim Smith on 07 September 2000 at 03:46 PM.] |

Buddy sets up on the righ-hand side of the stage. Get up toward the front and wear your hat backwards so he won't think you're staring at him. |

Buddy sounded great as usual, but with 126,000 people there (if I heard the announcer correctly) I couldn't begin to get close to him. Charlie Owens happened to catch Buddy on his way to the bus and sent me a nice picture though!
I guess I'm getting old. I don't think I'd brave that kind of crowd again, even for Buddy. |

Does Buddy set up on the right hand side of the stage as I'm looking at the stage or on the right hand side as he is looking at the audience? Is it the same for every show? |

Last night he was on the right as you face the stage. From what every one has said, that's where he always is. |
