I'n doing the gig. Everybody come on down. It's at the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip.

This place is a hangout for hollywood celebraties. (It's where River Pheonix died.) Maybe there will be some movie stars there. Whoopie!!!

Mike, thanks for covering for me. Middle of the week road trips are difficult for this working family man! Hope you didn't make me look too bad .

Well, everybody seemed to like the band, and the 2 steel players in the audience both said I played well, but I thought it was pretty chaotic at times. The band is pretty good (and Dave's steel playing on the CD is VERY good) but the chord changes in the songs are just odd enough to make them really hard to play if you don't know them, which of course I didn't. Additionally, the keyboard player didn't know them either, so we the two of us were fishing throughout the set.

The guys in the band seem like pretty nice guys, and I'd be happy to work with them again, but if I ever do so I want more than one day to learn the tunes.
