I notice from the schedule at www.bjgj.com/bjupdate.html that BJ Cole will be playing at Bimbo's in SF this Friday.

I've never been to this place. Where is it? Do you need to get tickets in advance? When does the show start?

BJ Cole is a living legend. I don't want to miss this.

Hi b0b,
Bimbos is in the Marina distric on the Hwy 101/Van Ness route through the city. They have been hosting a lot of cool music last couple of years or so. I'm pretty sure they have a web page. You do need tickets, but might beable to get at door. Have fun,
Pat

Get your tix early ! The show in NYC was sold out.
Hmmm..... Instrumental music featuring pedalsteel with huge crowds of young people cheering and dancing. The show in NYC was great. Well worth seeing what the world is up to outside of our little "tempest in a teapot" pedalsteel ghetto.

Drop by backstage and say hello to BJ. He, like all steel players, is happy to talk shop and hang out with fellow steel players.

Hey b0b please say howdy to BJ from me and the Dale Watson Band. He is way cool and wow what a great player and like Mr. Hoffnar said; he is way delighted to talk shop. He went out of is way to come see us in London; and stayed the whole show and was very complimentary toward us; and after I got up off the floor from passing out; I told him how much I worship the ground he walks on. Don't miss out on BJ if you have the chance at all.

Why do I find out about things like this Friday morning? I have plans for tonight!!!
Bimbo's 365 Club is at 1025 Columbus Avenue (at Chestnut Street)in the North Beach area of San Francisco. It's an amazing place to see a show. Be sure to check out the little nude woman in the aquarium behind the bar.

I couldn't bring myself to drive that far in the rain at night, so I've missed another great show.
