To be precise, it is a Mk2 Maverick with the brown shelf paper covering.

I intentionally did not get buttons on the replacement tuners as I prefer the keystone types. I still have the originals.

If you have a drill press, swap out the chuck to a 3/4" chuck and put your bar in it. Then you can polish it to your heart's content.

Looks like the portion of the fretboard that is nearest to the bridge has moved. The edge of the pickup that Doug mentioned is peeking out.

That should be an easy fix.
