I tried several 15s in my Twin Reverb. I liked the JBL D130 but found the top end a little too much. The Weber Neomag 15 sounded very good but at only 75 watts it would crap out when things got loud. ...

Chris is a fine bass player and I'm sure it pays the rent and groceries, but I can't help thinking what a waste of his consummate steel talent! If I were Marty I would feature him on steel on at least ...

That's a nice looking stand Joe! Can you give more info?

My Rickenbacher DC16 is comfortable on my lap, but it is heavy. When in a low chair, it sits out far enough for the nearest neck to be acce ...

My Rick D12 is admittedly awkward on the lap but manageable. The inside neck is a bit of a challenge and alters your technique. Still, it's a nice grab and go option for casual situations. I find that ...

Bill, the more often you jump in the ocean, the more likely you’re going to be eaten by a shark. (One of my old man’s little gems of wisdom.)

Tim, is your new tone control like a stutter button? …basically a spring-loaded kill switch?

It's like a stutter button but instead of cutting the signal completely, it routes the highs to ground ...

Nice clip, Tim. I enjoyed that. That boo-wah effect at the beginning of your solo... are you using a volume & tone pedal for that? I noticed that you didn't use the tone control for that.

Thank ...

Are you changing the volume or tone pot? The volume should be audio taper, the tone is probably linear like the one Donny linked to.

It's the volume pot. You're right - I do need an audio taper for ...

Humidity won't affect a Bakelite guitar at all. But keep it out of the sun. My panda detuned itself by a full step at an outdoor show last summer.

Do you know when and why the name changed from Richenbacher to Rickenbacker?

The change occurred around 1950. I believe they wanted a more Americanized spelling after WWII.
