I'll second what Ross said. Several years back I had the same problem with stripping the nylon nuts. Bought me a 3/48 and drilled the plastic nut accordingly and all was well after that.

Thank you all for the nice remarks. Yes Johnie I did make the knobs. Just a simple aluminum turning trying to balance out the brass bridge and nut with the "chrome" tuners.
