It has been my experience that the reissues all had an R in the serial #.

I'm thinkin that each pedal train is about 2#, then the changer is about 3#, neck 2, keyhead w tuners 1- about the weight of the pad so more like 15# is my guess.

Heat- just be sure someone hasn't added a set screw on the bottom of the pillow/pillar/pilla blocks 1st.
