That style is from around 1967 to early '68.I had the single '15 version of the Imperial. Great amp!!!

I had one for my first pedal steel. The late Ed Naylor set it up with 4 knee levers. It was one of the best sounding steels I've ever heard.

I would try the Boss Tone first. A lot of distortion circuits (Fuzz Face,etc) don't work well with a buffered signal.

That is a R-C (resistor capacitor) high pass circuit that rolls the normally bass heavy Gibson pickup tone off and and gives it a brighter, more treble tone.
